The unnerving part of Stockhorn bungy is the starting point: a cable car stops above Hinterstockensee, and the open door becomes your way out. The drop is 134 metres. Even before anyone jumps, the lake setting gives this outing a character of its own.
Leave a generous stretch of the day for it. Transfers, equipment, briefing and waiting your turn take far longer than the freefall. Book with the operator, read the current participation requirements and bring a warm layer for the mountain. Afterwards, an uncomplicated dinner sounds about right.
