In Beatenberg, the lake lies below you and the mountains face you across the valley. Come for a village walk and the view, or continue towards the Niederhorn when its services and the weather suit your plans. You can decide how much of the day to spend higher up.
The village stretches along the hillside, so choose your stop or meeting place before travelling. For a paragliding flight, follow the operator's instructions; the hillside launch is not necessarily where you meet. The pilot decides what the conditions allow.
