For First and the Cliff Walk, travel to Grindelwald village station and continue to the First cableway. Grindelwald Terminal is an earlier stop: the Eiger Express and Männlichen gondola leave from there. Choose the mountain route before deciding where to get off.
Bachalpsee is a walk beyond First, not beside the gondola exit. Check the trail separately; an operating lift does not mean every path is clear of snow. Staying in Grindelwald saves repeated valley journeys if most days are here. The homes listed on this site are around Lake Thun, so a visit from them includes the full approach.
