The suspension bridge joins Sigriswil and Aeschlen above the Gumischlucht. Come for the height and, when the weather clears, the view over Lake Thun. Leave a little time afterwards to wander the village or stop for lunch instead of walking straight back to the bus.
The bridge and the gorge walk are different outings. The latter takes you down and back uphill, so check the path and your group's energy before adding it. Crossing the bridge is paid, with payment available on site; the operator's page explains it. If heights feel uncomfortable, a village visit can still be an enjoyable afternoon.
